corporate responsibility

What we do and how we do it is very important to us. We’re committed to recruiting and fully developing people from all communities – and we take our responsibilities even further than that, through a number of initiatives that enable us to ‘put something back.’

We’re a Gold Partner of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, which supports young people and gives them the skills that will help them at work and in life. The Award has played a major part in opening up opportunities to people from all backgrounds – and that very much reflects what we try and do for our people here at DFS.

We’re also a major supporter of the British Heart Foundation, helping fund the fight against the heart diseases that affect people of all communities – and we’re also proud to be a prominent sponsor of Children in Need, another charity that shares our vision of making a practical difference to everyday lives.

All three of these charities reflect our commitment to helping make real improvements to the quality of life of millions of people. We take that commitment very seriously in our own operations too, through an Energy Management Policy that’s seen us adopt energy-efficient lighting, automatic meter readings – and a real focus on continually improving the way we responsibly manage our resources.
