Overview of the role
DFS are looking to recruit a Marketing Intelligence Insight Executive to join our growing Insight Team. The Insight Team ensure all areas of the business put the customer at the heart of every business decision made, your role in providing ongoing market and competitor information, analysis and insight working closely with Retail, Commercial and Marketing teams is fundamental to this aim.

Your Responsibilities
-Responsible for researching, gathering, processing and reporting on the market, competitor marketing and pricing activity
-Deliver succinct and actionable insight reports (written and verbal) to cover regular/weekly requirements as well as delivering bespoke deep dive reports into specific issues, competitors and themes etc
-Work with suppliers to elicit maximum information from their weekly data intelligence reports
-Proactive monitoring of competitors via mystery shopping to get further detailed information and market context
-Ensure competitors analysed and methods of analysis are up to date/in line with consumer behaviour
-Monitor, compile, analyse and report on market and consumer trends
-Provide insight knowledge to input into various workstreams such as product launches, retail operations support and strategic planning
-Support Insight team in a variety of insight projects and activities with opportunity to develop broader consumer research, insight and analytical skills


Our Ideal Candidate

You will have minimum 2 years` experience in market intelligence and insight, ideally in retail sector. You will have experience of working with various teams to deliver data-driven decision making to achieve stretching targets. Required skills and attributes are -

-Strong analytical and problem solving skills
-Be customer focussed in your outlook.
-Numerically confident with strong Excel and Powerpoint skills
-Sound knowledge/familiar working with CRM systems, Excel and databases
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate large amounts of data in a concise, clear and engaging manner
-Thorough, logical and methodical/organised approach to work
-Sound time management skills and enjoy working in fast paced working environment
-Quality driven with excellent attention to detail
-Ability to adapt to change and have a strong desire to learn, develop and progress
-Work well in collaborative team environment and builds strong working relationships
-Ability to work under own initiative and within tight deadlines
