Overview of the role
Working within the Web Operations / Digital Delivery team as part of the wider Online and Business Development department and reporting to the Senior Digital Delivery Manager, you will focus on the smooth running of our website and our omni-channel service offerings.
-Monitor, maintain, and improve the health of the DFS website, digital product catalogue and related internal applications
-Work closely with both internal and external development teams to stay apprised of changes that could affect functionality and site operations processes.
-Work with third party technology partners for support, interactions on solutions, upgrades and implementations.
-Participate in the ongoing processes of investigating, analyzing and providing long term resolutions to technical issues.
-Assist in diagnosing web site code issues and identifying where code can be optimised.
-Co-ordinate third party analysis of application performance across all tiers.
-Facilitate daily operational tasks such as asset movement/tracking, CDN cache control, data movements.
-Assist operation support teams in investigating incidents.
-Practice continual improvement in all aspects of business operations.
-Participate and lead in projects around digital applications and new website functionality
Our Ideal Candidate:
BA or BSc degree in a business or technical field of study from a four-year college or university, 1-Digital / eCommerce application experience or an equivalent combination of education of relevant experience.
Should have in-depth knowledge a wide range of web technologies, solid understanding of information and data models.
Must demonstrate a good troubleshooting and testing methodology and the ability to learn new skills on their own. Ability to follow change management processes, including the use of related tools and related controls.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Must be an effective communicator with internal and external individuals at all levels.
